You know you’re getting old when you can’t eat as much as you use to. In my old days I could put down about 6 plates. Now it’s 3, I enjoyed it nonetheless. The 1st plate was driven by hunger so it was good on top of food that you can’t see it all 😂

That's what I say when I go a buffet too. I remember as a teen I would put away like 6 plates lol. Now it's 1-2 and some dessert. I wonder if some of it is the fact that I know too much now about calories so it ruins the fun. Like that guy in the Matrix said. Ignorance is bliss.

Lol my stomach gave out on me on the 3rd plate... the taste started to change... I managed to put it down and I was done. I went at it guilt free so I don’t think it was the calories that was stopping me 😂

I only had 2 dinner plates but everyone was staring at me like is he really going to eat all that haha but the funny part was I probably had less calories on my plates then everyone else I had 3 loaded skewers of chicken, 4 loaded skewers of shrimp a ton of vegetable skewers and another while plate of fruit. it did look enough food for 3 people though with how high the plate was loaded up 🤣🤣 got to get that protein in 😁

Diablo it is so true about the knowledge of calories that changes your views on lots of things. I see these crazy food videos on tik tok and I'm like omg that's like a days worth of calories just in sauces they add to things

Cheesegobbler84 protein and veggies for the win!! eat as much as you want how mamy calories are you really going to go over in a day if you go wild at a get together over eating lean protein and vegetables lol

Cheesepuff I’m never picky. We grew up poor and lots of siblings. So when mom made the foods and if you are late to eat you don’t get to eat! Lol i wish they had alredo here been hungry for it, but only mash, rice, corn and broccoli casserole and many veggies dishes that I skipped 😏 but I do like my green beans

In my old days, I could eat whole pizza pies and not gain a single pound. I was a hyper kid! I do think that as we age, our bodies slow down, but at least your plates look tasty!

I may still be able to eat like I did in college. I most definitely should NOT eat like I did in college though.

So you grew up a vegetarian! Milk, eggs and cheese are high quality protein tho. What part of Russia were you in? I watch how people survive in Siberia and it’s crazy!! -50 degrees! It’s so cold that they dry their laundry outside 😂

Lol she sounds like a sweet lady, my shoulder feels a lot better. Minor discomfort, so I’m doing about 80% max load for this week. Just to ensure it gets to heal. It’s always my left side that gets injured 🤔 lol

That’s interesting! Are you a lefty? Cuz I’m a righty. Or maybe it had to do with the way we sleep most of our lives... I mostly sleep on my left side. What about you?

Y'all might be onto something here... when I overexert myself, usually the first place to start hurting is right beneath my ribs (due to increased heart rate and all; that's about where your diaphragm is) and I'm right-side dominant, but sometimes it'll be the left side that starts hurting first! I toss and turn in my sleep, so sometimes I'll wake up on my left side and sometimes I'll wake up on my right. Maybe we should observe what days we wake up on a particular side and note what happens when we exercise and see if there's a correlation? 🤔
