Hit a new PR today!!! Proud of this one cuz it made dig down for it. 485 in the books.
I was talking crap about squats but seems like it’s growing my legs pretty good and it wasn’t even leg day. That’s gonna keep me going 😂

Dm that make you lol I’m ok with it. I like it more than a gym environment tho. But I also like that it’s open to nature’s mercy. It’s really develop my mentality. Sometimes things go in your favor sometimes they don’t, but you can always find ways to get through. I use to swear when it rains, or too cold or too hot lol now I just accept it

Rpl I did picked a pair of plates. I have enough to hit my goal and over. And it is an awesome feeling. I don’t know if you’ve ever felt this before, but there’s moments in life where you really get to know yourself. There’s this split second that you are face with the choice of giving up or keep fighting for it. And in that moment there is no time to think, instinct takes over and you find out who you really are. I had that last year pulling 365, and another time in my life where I was going too fast on my motorcycle to try and pass a set of lights only to find out there’s another set of lights ahead of it and it was read and I had the break fast, so my bike of sliding sideways into the back of a car. I was face with the choice of accepting the situation and crashing for fight. Again instinct took over and it was like I took a back seat and watch myself so this. I kicked the ground and it straightened my bike and I maneuvered around the car in front of me as if I did it on purpose. So I’m proud, I’m a fighter

Supergainz - that is truly amazing and I know what you mean about choosing your fate or fighting. I think that makes a difference in a lot of things we do and you can carry that into your weightlifting, life choices or work. Thanks for sharing that. I had a very aggressive form of breast cancer and I kicked too and went all in. I also love the PR's at the gym because it is another testament of my own strength and I think that is something you either have in you or you don't. It sounds like you are in 100%! Great work!

Dm I got the rack n bench under a roof. But deadlifting puts dents on the ground so I need to do that away from the benching area lol

These fancy “home gyms” are getting ridiculous 😁. Nice pull! My son started doing his deadlifts barefoot last year. I’m old…I use a trap bar

Lol nothing fancy here Chris, it’s dirty n gritty. Barefoot for deads and squats is the way to go. So much stability. Best of luck to your son! Deadlifting demands respect tho. It can hurt you and it can help you. It took many trial n errors for me to figure out how to make deadlifting help me. And now I feel so sturdy lifting heavy things in my daily life and it’s become my favorite movement

Barefoot! If I did that I'd probably drop the weight on my foot! I was doing plate squats with an overhead press the other day and bonked myself in the forehead with the weight. You are a beast!!💪💪
