siiiiiiigh

my three year old nephew has been staying with us over the weekend while his mom, my sister, is at a bridal shower thing in Austin(we're in the Houston-ish area), and he's at that age where he fights everything all the time and it's exhausting. I was going to make a bigger breakfast(ie oatmeal and egg whites and a grapefruit) but he's been so bad i didn't want to be in the kitchen for too long and distract him from his movie(Big Hero 6, the only thing he'll sit still for longer than five minutes for). I also can't work out until later because his bed is in the guest bedroom, right next to mine, and the walls are paper-thin. So if he decides to lay down for a nap i don't wanna wake him.

it's just been me and my mom and we're at our wits end! i can't imagine how single parents do this, you guys have ALL of my respect haha!

Yes, kids are a huge commitment and take up a lot of time and energy. But they can be a lot of fun too. It's good to plan some fun stuff for them outdoors so they can use up energy (like the park). You get used to it.

had it not been raining this weekend we absolutely would have had him playing around in the backyard!
