Insulin sensitivity is for the advanced class. lol
Does it speak about diabetes and how once you destroy your pancreas and become diabetic, you will always be diabetic? UCHealth had an in-service about that last year. You can control type 2 with diet and exercise so you don't need meds. However, your body is still diabetic and will have issues again once you stop living a healthy lifestyle.

What do you mean by destroyed pancreas, like the pancreas is incapable of releasing insulin anymore? That would make you a diabetic type 1 no? This just states that the greater muscle mass you have the more insulin sensitive you can become which makes you able to handle blood glucose better which translate to no fear of desserts lol. Insulin resistance is type 2 diabetic tho, if you rely on exogenous insulin which is a type one then maybe this can still apply to you since the more insulin sensitive you become the less insulin dosage you would need....
Overthebars bulky is good by me 😎

No, not completely "destroyed" to where it doesn't produce like type 1. But damaged to the extent that it will always have trouble keeping up with a poor diet. It was an hour in-service and that was my main takeaway because that was news to me. I'll try to pull the sources for a more in depth answer.

I totally agree with this. I think the body needs to find a healthy equilibrium and once it builds muscle it will burn any fat and sugar thrown at it. I know from experience.

Yes, as a type 1 diabetic but still understand type 2, hospitalization after DKA led to a loss of 20 lbs! I went from a skinny 15 yr to a even skinnyer 15 yr old. Managing your body always important.

Lol merms I know what you mean, but this one makes sense since muscle mass is basically the storage warehouse for sugars, it makes sense that the bigger your warehouse is the easier it would be to transport the sugars. Vice versa if you have a small warehouse and take in lots of sugars then you’d have a tough time and require more workers(insulin) to jam it in the warehouse or be sent to the adipose storage warehouse via de novo lipogenesis. Was that a great analogy or what?

When I overload the sugars I look so much better at the gym. Sadly I need to be cutting most days right now so the deficit makes it hard to look saucy.
