It's the weekend. The wife and I don't celebrate Valentine's day. But it doesn't mean we won't enjoy it. I had a doctors appointment this morning and even though he is happy with how my foot looks (I had surgery 3 years ago) he still is firm on no running. :-( I didn't realize how upset I would be when he told me no running. 3 years ago I was so happy that he said that, but now with all the weight loss, I want to do more, but I will have to look else where. I guess I can break out the roller blades and do that with my daughter. I have no coordination, so bumps and bruises will come fast and plentiful. Then I can dust off my bike, and do more riding. For now, it is shoveling, and staying warm. It's supposed to be cold this weekend.

I had a bad foot last year and did elliptical instead of treadmill running. Now I am fine BUT love the elliptical. You might try it - it is pain free on the foot.

Way to stay motivated and find alternatives. Roller blades sound fun. I haven't done that in years.

I enjoy the elliptical. It's very fluid and so much easier on the joints.
