nb girl's Journal, 15 September 2014

I'm not totally convinced watching calories is important, so long as you don't go excessive.

Last week I changed my daily ration of cals from 1500 to 1700. I was going over the 1500 cals anyway, and seeing I was 125% or so over my quota was a negative psychologically, hence me upping to 1700. Since then I've hardly gone over the original 1500 quota - am I perverse or what lol!

Resulting weight going down.

My other thought, is that in a small way, upping and lowering daily intake of calories just might work to keep your metabolism 'guessing' instead of it going into full blown starvation mode. Afterall our cave dwelling ancestors didn't know when they were going to be fed from one day to the next.

Just my rambling for today!

Have a great and successful week everyone! X

I kind of agree. I have found I have lost weight on more calories at times, and gained weight on less. For me it is more about what I eat, and when I eat than how much I eat. By eating less carbs, my hunger is a better indicator than it had been in the past. Stress eating is the only exception!
