So pleased with the way things are going! Since 14th August I've lost 4 kilos (nearly 8 pound)! Yeahhhh! I'm about 1/4-way from my goal which I want to reach by Christmas or New Year! This could be doable if I keep reading my body.
Though things are slowing down, as I've only lost 2 pound in two weeks. I know better than to start whaling 'woe is me' because I understand that my body is making adjustments.
I am deep in ketosis (by urine sticks), though I've read this isn't reliable as at some point ketones will stop spilling over from the kidneys (or it is liver?) into the urine. So I'm watching this.
My husband, who's eating the same meals as me, but with extra supplements of loads of fruit, beer and wine, has lost 2 pounds in a week. This is great as him giving up fruit and his glass or two of alcohol in the evening might not have gone down too well, or if at all ;) He's very lucky he can tolerate these carbs.
