vinnyv11's Journal, 28 March 2011

So I am now 20 days away from the wedding and trying to get motivated to make a hard push to loss a couple extra pounds prior to. I had my bachelor party this weekend which was a debacle and obviously I'm showing a gain this week. I have been horrible as of late with keeping up my resolve but have been hovering in the same area. I accepted that I wouldn't get to my end goal prior to the wedding because I have made such horrible choices as of late but for some reason I can't get back into the swing of things especially when it comes to the gym. I think today I make a conscious decision to push that extra bit to try and get off a couple more pounds for the big day. Too bad my gym closes at 5 on Mondays lol. Maybe a freezing cold bike ride is in order if my tires aren't flat from the winter hmm... Decisions decisions. Any suggesstions for a workout when your options are limited.

On a completely different note I got fitted for my tux Friday (I know way late but I wanted to try and get the most of my weight loss in prior to the big day) and I will be wearing a 34 waist to the wedding (Over 10 inches down from where I started) and a medium vest (almost every piece of clothing I owned was 2XL since high school). Didn't quite pay attention to the jacket measurements but considering I can wear medium shirts depending on cut I would say thats a victory in itself.

Milestones:
1.0 lbs - 75% to goal and COLOR CHANGE!!!!!
12.1 lbs – 100 pounds lost
21.3 lbs – According to BMI I will be considered in the normal range
30.6 lbs - To THE GOAL LINE!

I think you should be so proud of what you have accomplished. Even if you don't quite make it to your goal for your wedding, you have come so far and should keep going afterwards. I'm so happy for you! Are you getting nervous? It just hit me that I'm 6 months away and I'm like WOAH! I need to do so much!!! lol Man.. if I had 20 days, omg I would be STRESSIN!!! :)

I'm not so stressed about the wedding itself because its been a long time coming. The only stress I have from the wedding is regarding the cost of the whole event (parents contribution $0) and what position we will be thereafter. I have paid for the reception in full at this point its just the small things such as the final payment to the photogrpaher and florist. I think once i've written that last check i'll be able to relax. Oh and after I figure out groomsmen gifts. What a cluster that is.

Yeah... the costs for a wedding is unreal. That's why we decided to do a small, personal wedding. I'm not into a big fancy show off wedding. I want the people that matter the most be there to enjoy the moment with us. We're having it at the beach, because that's where we like to be at. We're trying to keep it simple, but it's still pricey! I've been trying to come up w/ ideas for both sides of the bridal party. I think girls are a lot easier when it comes to gifts. lol I don't have a clue what to do for the guys. Maybe a gas gift card. ha ha
