I'm 30%ish into the Ketone Clarity book. Even got my hubby reading it. It really does help when you can talk to someone about it.

During 2011 we both went on Atkins for well over 6 months, it was hard for my hub because he loves fruit to keep him regular, plus he didn't have a drink in all during that time which he found wasn't a hardship. Previously being a heavy drinker, you never quite know how much of a crutch or addicted you can be.

I lost very very slowly, he lost a great deal! Then he got sick, he just didn't feel well, it took several wrong diagnosis and us insisting on further tests, before he was diagnosed with non hogkins lymphoma. The oncologist went crazy when she found my hub was on Atkins, and my sister-in-law said some terrible things at the time, she even went round her friends to gather up all the nutritional books she could find. I ended up with about 10 diet/nutritional books, mostly dated around the 1960s and 70s. You can imagine how I felt.

Through reading Keto Clarity I've a notion that it just might be the Atkins diet saved his life! We'll never know, my SiL would never read the Ketone Clarity book, she's so caught up in the dogma, plus she's naturally skinny.

My husband is absolutely fine now thanks to God. So we know how important it is to get this right.

No weight loss today! Though last night I had some homemade broth with butter in it, I laced it with quite a lot of salt, which was OK as my salt content is low. I'm blaming my body holding onto water.

Thanks C. For all the links you are putting up on the forum. They are brilliant! :-)

It is a good book. Even knowing a lot about eating low carb eating, there is lots of helpful information in there. I was just re-reading a few sections last night! Keep up the good work!

Wow! Glad to know that your hubby is fine now and wishing him the best. I think I read the book in one sitting. It is definitely a great book and easy to understand, and told Jimmy that too!.

I think coconut butter will keep you in ketosis and has a lot of fiber, if your husband likes the taste.
