Ok. So Im pretty much definitely sure that my scale is broken. From thursday-sunday I ate terribly. I ate huge amounts of very bad things. Yesterday was probably the worst. I KNOW I gained weight. The scale today said I was 128.4. It's seriously just not possible. I feel like I gained weight and I look like I gained weight. This makes me really scared to go out and buy another scale. Im really afraid it's going to tell me a weight that is WAY higher than I would like to see. Yesterday I semi-decided that I didnt want to diet anymore so I just like went on a rampage of eating whatever I saw. (Has to be the pms talking) And by the end of the day I just felt awful. It's my body's way of telling me I need to go back on. I felt sick and terrible about my body. Somehow, I think it was just what I needed. Im motivated again today to do well. I dont want to erase all my hard work. Today Im going to do well with my diet and Im going to go out and buy a new scale and pray pray pray it doesnt give me a number that is super high. Im really afraid of that. But oh well, I have to accept the consequences of my actions. Today is still the week before my period and Im still very emotional. This whole new scale thing might make me really upset if it's a really high number. Ugh. Please pray for a good mindset for me today. I would really appreciate it. I want to start feeling good again. Anyway, I hope the rest of you had a great weekend and I also hope you have a good day today as well.

I thought my scale was acting up the other day as well, then realized that after the funky readings it read "lo" meaning low battery. So I replaced the batteries and back to what I believe are consistent readings. Whatever the case may be, just like you stated, you will do the best you can to deal with right? Just know that no matter what the case may be it is still better than where you started and you have improved before so you know that you have the necessary tools to do it again! Keep that head up girl.

Have you considered only weighing in once or twice a week? Or maybe just don't weigh at TOM? I definitely had a time where I was way too emotional about it to weigh myself everyday and I let it make me feel bad about myself! Perhaps challenge yourself to by step on the scale for- a goal of 2 weeks? Focus on just eating when you're hungry and making good choices, treating yourself occasionally. (I know that I've had certain points if I was too much into 'diet' mode I felt deprived and then would go on eating binges because "if I'm going to fail, then I'm going to hard core fail".) After two weeks are up, weigh yourself again. Just a suggestion; everyone just needs to find what works for them! Also don't forgot that those last ten pounds can be sooo tough! A few year ago I got down to 128 from about 145. Initially, I was losing 2 lbs a week, then just 1 lbs a week, but those last five pounds for me took me about two months to lose. It was a very slow process to get my body there!

Awee honey! I hate all those feelings!!!! Emotions are stupid and unfair to us... espcially when we are already on edge about scale and weight and deit and food and on and on. So, I say be kind to yourself today. If you need to take a day "off" from the "diet" then do it, by going up to a maintance level of healthy food. Maybe that will help? By the way I nearly lost it with some dam jellybeans this weekend. I had a few, then a few more, then yelled for myhusband "intervention, intervention!" It's the semi-serious joke word at our house for please hold me back or I'm going to devour this bag!!

I agree with weighing only once each week. It is mind boggling how the scales go up & down from day to day. I also recommend measurements because often times you may find the scale has become 'stagnant', but the inches are actually moving downward. Just a thought. Don't get discourage. This is definitely a 'one day at a time' journey. Go with God, my friend! ☺ ♥

I agree with the once a week weigh in - this way you don't drive yourself crazy with the daily fluctiations. You very well could have lost weight, somtimes eating more and then going back to normal boots the metabolism enough to make a drop. You say you feel fatter - chances are thats bloat/water retention from the crap you ate over the weekend. Also and this is just a suggestion - but log all your food (like everything you put in your face), it will give you a better idea of what you need to trip down/cut out/ bump up etc. Lastly... be kind to yourself... seriously nothing helps with weightloss more than a positive attitude.

I get worried about that too , its like i know i havent done that great and then big numbers show. BUt i weighed in at a friends an d it was pretty accurate. So maybe yours will be too. However at least you are back motivated, it will be ok.
