So, I have no idea how I lost today. Yesterday was TERRIBLE. Probably the worst I've eaten since I started my diet. I have no idea what I was doing. I wasnt even thinking about my diet. I was just eating like I would have eaten had I not been on a diet. Mac and cheese, pulled pork, corn bread, cake, caramel apples. It was not a pretty site. It was my friends bridal shower. Granted, what I ate was both my lunch and dinner, I was expecting the scale to go through the roof. Especially because it's still the week before my period. I suppose that has something to do with me eating ravenously. Ugh. I have a feeling I will see my weight creep up over the next few days from this. I find it hard to believe I got away unscathed. Oh well. No changing what I did. All I can do is do better now. I just feel like I have a different mindset now or something. Like a "throw the diet to the wind" mindset. I dont like it at all. I need some encouragement and motivation. Today there is no event except for eating dinner at my mom and grandmoms house. They will be having spaghetti, which isnt the best for dieting, but they usually have a salad with it so I will load up more on that. Ugh, please wish me luck today, everyone. Im going to need a boost to get back into the frame of mind I used to have. I WANT MY MOTIVATION BACK!
So anyway, I hope you all had a lovely Saturday and I hope for an even more lovely Sunday. Have a good one, friends!

You can do this! Its always hard right before the period, I crave tons of food and sweets then, too. Just keep that in mind and remember this too shall pass. All you can do is remain mindful of what you are eating and remember that if you don't have a 'cheat' from time to time you might just go hog wild and completely give up! We don't want that! You will get back on track, you are doing great!

It's alright to have a day where you mess up on a diet. But remember, this shouldn't be a temporary thing, it should be a lifestyle. You can't give up everything you life for the rest of your life; eating not so great foods once in a while is okay as long as you balance out everything else you eat. If your diet isn't something that you think you can keep up for many years then maybe you're following the wrong "diet". I say clean out your body a bit by eating mostly plant based foods and fresh fruits and veggies plus lots of water(I'm sure you're sick of hearing that lol) for the next day or so. You'll probably feel a bit better then. :)

Keep going at it! I have a tendancy to always eat pretty bad for a couple days, until my body kicks me back with the tummy ache. That tends to focus me. My advice, go for small goals.. Something to aim for in the next week, or something like that. Write it all down in a notebook, whether you were successful. Then before you know it, it won't be difficult to keep doing it, because your body got used to it. My goal was to go a month without any high calorie sweets, and replace them with snacks only lower than 100 calories. I managed to do it, and treated myself to a brownie. Well, I think I ended up eating only a couple bites. I've gotten used to being without rich foods like that and it made me feel a little sick. I've done a pretty good job on not having sweets (and even saying "no" to the offers of birthday cake, I'm proud of myself). I replace my sweet craving with the Quaker 90 calorie snack bags. They're a pretty decent substitute. Good luck!
