It's weird... ever since I was able to record my points I've been stricter with the food that I am eating yet while staying within' my point range, the choices that I made to stay within' that range were a lot different than I had been eating the week before. The result being, I don't feel as healthy as last week (by the food that I am eating) and feel that my weight loss is not happening.

So, long story longer... I think I will switch my diet to the Michel Montignac one. I was following that one before I found out where to record my points. I lost 6 pounds with that one last week. I was trying to incorporate both diets together but they seem to conflict in some areas...

Upon further research within' this site...

I think I'll still try to combine both WW and Montignac since there don't seem to be any members on the French diet...

I guess I'm creating my own diet...

It's basically what combinations of food you're eating together. No refined ingredients and a total cut down on sugar. I don't eat refined and have curbed my sweet tooth with Stevia. (which is permitted on all diets)

If you eat grains, you should not have them with meat. And if you have meat, combine with veggies... etc...

Where did you get your info on this diet on what foods to eat with what? I have a slow digestive system and I know that is part of the reason I have trouble losing weight. I am always looking at ways to improve my health and digestive troubles.

I heard about this diet a LONG time ago when I lived in Montreal. It's more popular there than anywhere else that I've known. Maybe because he's French... The book was only published in French the first time I tried it. I found it on my bookshelf the other day and remembered that I had success with it. I have the English version as well now :)

so it's about "combinaisons alimentaires". you don't mix carb with prot. I had a version of that, in another book (same thing I found it in montreal) but it was not from montignac. and the combination was: "aliment lipidique" vs "aliment glucidique". and it's about low GI food too. I never really gave in, but I still have the basic rules and I keep that in mind. that was the first time I heard about low GI food. but this kind of diet must be complicated to combine with another one, because of the food combination. good luck, best wishes!
