Drink plenty of water, and be sure your doctor agrees with your idea of "staying strong." Calorie restriction aside, not every body is suited to every lifestyle of eating. I did low carb ("Protein Power" for 15 years, before I chose vegan). Many Atkins products are loaded with artificial sweeteners and other chemicals, which may be the root of your problem (now I eat only organic). If you are not using such products, it could be your body "purging/detoxing." Your doctor should be in the loop! Good luck with your journey.

I don't use any Atkins products. I just eat fresh. Chicken, cheese, veges, can it be because I consume too much protein?

Hopefully, you are drinking lots of water. Stay out of the heat too if you can and try to exercise when it's cooler in the day. Are you getting your recommended calories in? Try not to fall below 1200 calories. Feel better and lay off the Atkins products if you are taking them. I wrote to Atkins Company and explained that when I took a bite out of their bars, I immediately get nauseaous, and they told me it was an ingredient in the bar that they use that my body may be allergic to. So you know what I did, everything is fresh. Fresh strawberries and blue berries for your sweet tooth, is good while on your Induction Phase.

yes C67241, i am drinking lots of water. It might be because my calories is too low like u said. i've been measuring the carbs from fruits too dear. they said no fruits in induction phase since they are high in sugar and carbs. so i am a bit confuse.

It may not work well to combine the induction phase of Atkins with fasting for Ramadan. Not getting to drink water during the day has to be tough. I'd strongly suggest talking to your doctor if these problems continue. Being strong is great, but you don't want to stick with something if it is risking your health.

Don't be, you can have 3-4 large strawberries a day. Have at least 2 cups of veggies at each meal, or 1 cup if you are having a cup of salad. Don't be afraid of high fat foods. Other fruits, like apples, oranges, mangos, those are out for right now. Just strawberries and blue berries. And lastly, yes you have to eat more in order for the body to let go of the fat. If it think you are starving it, it will you are going to stall out, in the weightloss. So eat up and keep up the good work.

@notlivingonramen, i am currently doesn't feel too hungry during the days. Just a bit thirsty and I think i still have the energy to do my office work. and what worries me is the nauseaous especially after workout. If this thing keep continuing, i will go see a doctor :) thanks for your feedback :) @c67241, honestly, i really2 need some fresh fruits right now.i am craving for it. if strawberries are low in carbs, i will go and buy it tomorrow. 3-4 large strawberries, alright i'll have it tomorrow. thankkk u :)

I am diabetic, which is why I went low carb to start. Really did help. The benefit (if one could call it that) is that I would test my blood sugar before and after working out. That way I would not get nauseous or worse, suffer from low blood sugar. That could be your problem, and really can be dangerous ~ not just for diabetics. Keep strawberries and blueberries ready for fruit. Eat them before or right after working out. Also, I was allowed 30 carbs a day, but no more than 12 at a time. Be sure you space out your carbs. Your body needs them! And really, do not exercise too hard at this point. Your body needs time to adjust. See your doctor!!!

PS) peanut butter is a fabulous blend of carbs and protein. by the spoon or on celery. yummy, revitalizing food! (Do NOT worry about fat content on low carb, but anyway, peanut oil is not the harmful type of fat!)

@Dee Koro, yeah, low blood sugar , that can effect too right. Maybe there is so many things happened in my body right now since I am drastically changing my eating habit from very high carbs (since i love to eat rice, breads, pastries) to a very low carbs diet. And i am trying to increase fat in my diet, but i don't know how to match it with low carbs. I mean, foods that have high fat but low in carbs... so that's why i just eat cheddar cheese all the time. :p Btw, thank u so much for your feedback :) :)i hope u r good too with your diet. :)

it sounds like you have the "atkins flu" which a lot of people get when they first start low-carbing. try drinking a cup of bullion or broth a few times a day. that usually helps while your body adjusts to your new way of eating. be sure to drink the full salt kind - not low sodium - because your body needs the salt right now. Hope this helps!!
