Yesterday, I worked out and reached a nw level of mets during the cardio. As my BPM increased, my emotions elevated in a positive way. I found myself mentally yelling at the glioblastoma cells that killed my mother a year ago. I screamed to them, "I won't let you find fat in me to grab onto. You won't find space, cancer!" I've been doing this for my son, my husband, my broader family and me. Fitness is the gift I am in control of within all of the aspects I'm not able to control in terms of wellness.

My day was full of foods rich in lean fat, fiber and vitamins. Not much junk going in these days for the body to discard. Ha! However, it was a day of planned indulgence, We went to the ice cream parlor, and I got fresh peach ice cream. One scoop equals about 3 cups, I estimated, and every mouthful was well worth it as was the date with the family.

Moderation, well being, and fun are all part of my new lifestyle. Although empty calories are where I indulge, the majority of the time I'm trying to get enough calories filled with fiber and protein into my body. So yummy and healthy. It's no sacrifice. Like my gentle workouts designed for sustainability and weight training to rebuild muscle mass and bone density, I'm not going as hard as I possibly can in order not to hurt myself or burn out at 51. Cheers!
142.6 lb Lost so far: 13.4 lb.    Still to go: 11.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
