I'm losing weight every week because I'm not weight training yet. I know that when I start, my weight loss will stall, or I may even gain a bit of weight when I start weight training. Over time though, I will drop more weight over all by weight training.

I'm pondering when I should start for this reason. I might wait until I'm sub 170 lbs before I really start "body building" I need to put on a good 3 - 5 lbs of muscle over the next year (back, chest, arms, calves).

I began walking before dieting, then went into strength training then kettle bells. It will stall your weight loss but you're building muscle. The combination is a win-win situation.
