We joined a gym this weekend! We are official members of Urban Active. We also did the 'assessment' with a personal trainer and went over the options. We wanted the opportunity to work with a personal trainer, which is one of the many reasons we chose to join here. The price options were affordable and we signed up to work with someone. We have something like 84 sessions to use within a year. We currently have appointments for 2 times a week. Last night we worked with TJ, who is great. He kicked out butts though! I am sore today but its good! Next week we will meet with and start training with our assigned trainer, Julie. TJ assured us we will like her style and she always gets great reviews from her clients.
Its amazing how comfortable I am while working out. Im sure its helpful that my Husband is right there with me. I also like the overall atmosphere of the gym. I don't get that meat market vibe at all. There all different ages, shapes & sizes of people. Working with the trainer is especially helpful because they keep us focused and we know we are getting what we need. I highly recommend this if you can do it!
Before we joined, we went in and got the tour and talked over the prices of memberships. The family plan is for 4 people and it is the same price as 2 individuals. We decided to go with this and I talked to 2 of my co-workers that I take a belly dance class with about joining with us. This gave us all a great price break! The membership also included all the group classes which is great so we can continue to take dance classes! You also get acccess to all the clubs, not just the one you joined. This is great! All of us can go to whatever location we want on the days we are not working out together. We are also going to go through all the locations class schedules and decide where/which classes we want to take together.
Ok, enough with my sales pitch, lol. I don't feel like I have been losing enough weight lately but I have noticed this week my clothes are fitting much better! Very encouraging!
