2 Big 2 Fail's Journal, 07 March 2014

I should weigh in today but I went back to the gym this week after a week off and as usual the weight goes up. I know it doesn't matter but I'm keeping my calories well below the RDI calculated to lose but there's a disconnect between fat loss and muscle gain.

Too bad there wasn't a better way to get a index without having to float in a tank of water for density calculation like science class.

I'll wonder up to the medical office at some point and depress myself. I remember the feeling when I wrestled in High School...time to suck weight.

Next week I get a check-up with the doctor and he'll be noting that I'm gaining weight. I'me down to one medication that my doctor prescribed. I stopped taking four other prescriptions. I figure the pharms will survive without my donation. The doctor isn't happy but my blood work is looking better without them thanks to exercise and and diet. I get some insurance for the meds but I have to pay full price out of pocket for the gym. Go figure. I guess I'm saving them money.

It's probably just your muscles retaining water to help them heal. When you take time off and go back to working out or change your normal routine, it happens. Google "why the scale lies" for insight. It can show up as a temporary gain on the scale.
