I decided to list my food in advance with the non perishable items in one drawer of my desk at work. This made it easier to track...only eat what's in the desk and for lunch it's all in the fridge. All I need to do is stick with it, but I get stuck in a meeting for 3-1/2 hours with a bag of gummy bears from Germany and of course I can't stay out of them. I'm pretty much captive but gummy bears aren't really that loaded with calories.
Anyways...the plan is still pretty good...do it in advance and stick to it.
I still have snacks in there and I've still at 32% of RDI even though I haven't eaten everything. It's like a bonus and I can eat a decent supper without blowing the diet today.

Throw out the gummy's and put in healthy things like sunflower seeds or almonds...they may be low fat *the gummy's that is, but packed in sugar!

I suck on Sugar Free Life Savers during long meetings. They still have calories, but not as many and they last a long time. Agree that avoiding sugar is the way to go.

I agree about the sunflower seeds (especially raw)...but sometimes you have to accept the gifts of visitors from Germany who seem to bring the gummy bears. I took one for the team...ha..ha.

Or you can put Atkins protein bars in your drawer for a quick fix (no more than 2 per day however) and they are only 2 net carbs...
