Starladesiree's Journal, 24 January 2009

My frustration just keeps building. I am really struggling right now. Last night I was so angry and kind of depressed I wanted to just eat junk. I still ended up burning more calories than I ate.. But it was not a pretty day for eating. Sonic. And chili. Sigh.

I was frustrated because I went shopping. I used to wear a 10 just fine in Old Navy jeans... They were too tight. At Charlotte Russe I usually wear a 9... They were too tight too. What the hell? Have I just lost all the weight on my upper body and am destined to have fat hips, ass, and thighs forever? Haha. How can someone loose 15lbs and still be the same pants size? This feels hopeless.

It all depends where you are losing the weight...your hips my stay the same and you're belly my just get flatter...nothing wrong with having a shapely figure...think of it this way...no one with a flat butt looks good in a bikini ;) Plus I'd kill to be a size 10...its all perspective.

hmmm, well dunno how old you are but ive noticed that i can no longer wear junior sizes. It doesnt have much to do with weight, but my hips and such are different from the new super skinny styles of junior sizes and well....charlotte russe is pretty much junior sizing....i know, i used to work there! lol in fact when i was a size like 4-6 in Express jeans my Charlotte Russe size 9s still fit great....so i say try some other stores.

In regards to wearing junior sizes I work in a department store. One thing I've learned is that junior sizes are not the same as the misses sizes. The clothes are designed to fit the body types of smaller people. The arm and leg lengths are shorter, the wastes are narrower, and most of the tops you simply cannot wear if you have fuller breasts. That's why it's mostly teenagers in those departments and not too many adult women. So don't be discouraged if you can longer fit into juniors sizes. It more than likely has NOTHING to do with the diet but simply the frame of your body. :)

Cewi1son and Owndisaster are right, Charlotte Russe is for petite, skinny-assed 13 year olds. Real women with a woman's figure [wider hips than 13 year olds and bigger chests than teenage girls] cant fit into that nonsense. Kudos to galemar, too. lol I'd rather be a 'fat' girl than a flat girl :]

Lol. Thanks. It seems most clothing is made for flat people now though. I'm going to have to end up spending big money on jeans that fit, I just know it. I tried on some Limited jeans... An 8 there was a little too tight, and they were $69! Ouch. I used to work at Express and am really unsure how I feel about their jeans.. I have two size 10s from them... One is to big, the other is too small and WAY too short even though it's a long. They're the same style/fit of jeans... just different colors. How retarded is that? I'm just going to start making my own damn clothes.
