Jess cheng's Journal, 20 January 2014

Today was an okay day. I did great on meals... Except for the package of hershey kisses I got ((((oh noooo!!!!)))) I shared some of them or else it would have been even worse.... Willpower where are you when I need you? Thankfully I also made it to the gym today with my almost 14yr old son. He is my workout buddy. I planned to stay for 2hrs... But it seems by the time I get to one hr we are both burnt out. Hopefully I can get to the gym or do some other workout at least 2 more times before this week is over.

Hi Jess, Keep up the workouts even if it means only going/doing it once a week. At this early stage it's just important for you to have some kind of continuity to boost your self-integrity and get the momentum rolling. You can do this: remember you want to be fit more than you want the junk food! Best, Josie

Hi Josie Ann thanks so much for the support! Everything you are saying makes a ton of sense! I definitely DO want to be fit more than I want junk food. Now if I can just keep reminding myself this over and over and coordinate those thoughts with my hands and my mouth and my grumbly stomach, haha ;). Best wishes to you as well!

Please call me Josie. I never use my middle name, but I needed a FS username that wasn't taken. I too go to bed many a nights with a hungry tummy too, but I just remind myself that this hunger is a sign that I'm on track. It really is mind over matter. I failed a gazillion diets as well, before I just learned that I had to get mentally tough and realize that until I come to grips with the fact that I'm responsible for getting my body fat and I'm the only one who can get myself out. I didn't want another day to go by knowing I was letting this fat misery get the better of me. You know the old saying: when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Get tough with this battle and you will win!
