Tried cross country skiing earlier today...it was a bust. The snow was too wet and it was sticking to the bottom of my skis...so then they would not slide. May try again tonight with light on my forehead after it starts cooling down. Now I know that there is a spray to put on the skis to keep the snow from sticking. Going to be cold for a while...so that problem should be gone. Every day is a learning experience!

There are different waxes to use at different temperatures.

Hubby used the right temp wax. It was sticking to the center part of the ski in the grip zone. I have since discovered that there is a spray you can put on that zone to keep the snow from sticking.

I'll bet you burned calories just getting the skis on and off and struggling!

Everyone that tried skiing around here yesterday reported the same problems. Did not find anyone that was not having the same issue. It was awful for everyone. Since it was so nice out everyone was bummed about it.
