I have got to stop eating so many almonds.

You need to stop making them available for you to eat. Keep them at home and make yourself little baggies in small portions to bring to work each day. If it's the little 100 calorie packages, limit yourself to how many you can bring each day.

That's good advice. That's what they tell us to do in WeightWatcher's too. Almonds are good for you, but like everything else - in moderation.
