Shiningmoon2165's Journal, 18 January 2009

Today was the start of week 2 and I am down 2.4 so I am pretty happy. I thought I'd see about lowering my portion sizes to see how I feel... put in my body a little less then I did last week and so far today has been pretty good. Vic and I actully went to the gym and worked out togther. The first time I've been to a gym in years! Holy Cow that eliptical machine kicked my butt!! I did it for 20 minutes and my legs were wobbly. Then again, I worked out last night on my gazzel and have been working out most nights so.. that might be why. ... probably also the reason why I was able to do it for 20 minutes today. Tomorrow will be week 3 with out smoking .. woo hoo!! I am going to step down a patch level. (using the patch to quit- and it helps!!) So, anyway.. after the cardio I went on to do some light weight lifting... learning how to use the machines and it felt really good. I had a hard time doing 2 rounds of 12 on one of the arm machines but that is ok, I will only get better if I keep it up.

So, I think I am going to be putting in my 2 weeks notice at work tomorrow with the hopes that they will let me work part time from home. I am a commission only real esate agent and well.. we all know how the real estate market is even in my nich market (timeshare resales). I hope I can find another job just to get some cash flow coming into the home. So.. working out has helped my stress levels.... or rahter.. helps me blow out the stress. HA

We are going to try a Weight watcher dinner tonight and I am excited about it. I went and bought a weight watcher cookbook last night... probably money I shouldn't have spent but I don't care. We are going to have ginger soy chicken with some steamed veggies and rice... yummy!

Oh... and it is cold and I am ready for spring already!!

I tried to quit smoking for New Years, but tried cold turkey and I didn't succeed. I'm trying to get motivated to A) quit smoking, B) eat better/less... diet, and C)exercise. I'm finding that I'm doing alot of "thinking" about the changes I want to make, but not alot of action, if you know what I mean. I"m new and don't have any buddies yet, so I sent you a request. I'm just so not wanting to gain if I can quit smoking. Oh, my husband smokes too!
