Hello everyone ... I am rather new here and am hoping to find some support and accountability though this website. I am loving the fact that I can log my food intake on here , it makes me very aware of what I am eating by logging it all on here.

Alittle bit about me ... I am 33 years old . I am a single mom with three kids , although I am in a great relationship with someone who is very supportive and helpful. I have struggled with my weight ever since I had my first son almost 15 years ago. I have gotten down many times over the years but it has always been a yo-yo. This past time that I gained was while I was going to nursing school. That was so hard to do and juggle the kids and work and studying. I literally was completely inactive because I had no time. And my eating habits went to hell , fast food and quick meals. On the bright side I graduated at the top of my class and now have a job that I LOVE with all my heart.

With so many aspects of my life being much more stable now I know that it is the right time to get serious and take the time to work on ME. I just want to lose the weight and FEEL good again. I am really hoping that I can find some support on this site and make this a change that will last this time. So far I am doing great and unlike in the past , the change in diet isn't bothering me , in fact I feel really good. I am starting to workout again. I remember when I was at my best a few years ago I was doing zumba classes several days a week. I want to work back up to being able to handle that again. I know it will happen.

My whole life has been a yoyo of a word I hate diet. Now I call it a new way of living. Or a new way of eating. Diet to me has never worked and something has to end just by the sound of it. You can buddy me if you want. Best wishes, Debi

Thanks Debi ... I agree with you totally . Diets work for a while and then they stop and we end up back where we started. I don't wanna use that word this time around. I am trying to change my whole mindset about food and change my eating habits overall. I also plan to get much more active, like I was in the past. I was doing really great a few years ago ... I was happy with my weigh , I felt good , was taking zumba several times a week ... then I went back to school and that all stopped and I am back at square one. So I just need to get back to what I know works . thanks for the support : )

You are right! This is a way of life, that is going to make us feel better, lose the extra weight and have more energy. We need all the support we can get. I am also available if you need buddies.
