HELP!!!! I have terrible feet issues. I had a bunion surgery on my right foot and bunion came back so they did another surgery where they attached an external fixater. It was a huge fail! I required 2 more surgeries to try to rectify the mistakes the 1st surgeon made. It caused me to have pain all the time. Anyway, I need surgery on left foot now. I have waited cuz I'm scared I will have same problems and also worried about down time from the gym. There is a new bunion surgery called Lapiplasty. Has anyone heard of it or had it? My foot is very bad, my toes are affected as well. Sorry to be so graffic but I need answers.

All I know is that in the early 90s my mother-in-law had one bunion surgery on 1 foot and needed the other foot done and to this day refuses.

Wifey, I can relate! It's a painful recovery and long. The average recovery time is 6-9 weeks! My doctor now said because mine is so bad my recovery will be 9-12 weeks. I had my first surgery in 2000. Then another to fix it 6 months later. Still was messed up and that is why I haven't done left foot. However, now it's affecting how I walk and it's extremely painful. I have toe spacers but they no longer keep away the pain..

So sorry about the pain, Diana! Sounds awful to have to deal with! My mama had a bunch of surgeries like that, I will ask her and get back to you.

I do feet strengthen exercises with Miranda Esmonde White, she as overall body exercises that stretch you, and strengthen without weights, has changed my life (especially my feet)

Sorry for your pain Diana. I have had one on my right foot for about 8 yrs. now. I thought it was just from working and being on my feet sometimes for up to 28 hrs at a time. But when I lost my one job it never did get any better. I just think I am tolerant to any pain. I hope it gets better for you.

I'll be praying for you. I have 4 bunions and metatarsal issues. However, due to the reports I've heard of on foot surgery, I will keep away from them as long as I can.
