I weighed a little while ago and weighed the same thing I last recorded one month ago. 190. I was pleasantly surprised considering it is afternoon and I had already eaten breakfast today. I have not been dieting, just trying not to eat so many carbs. I did let my sweet tooth get to me some for a couple of weeks. Then I had a physical and found out that my triglycerides were high, my sugar was just slightly high, and I have a heart condition. Several visits to a cardiologist, new meds, and a CT scan tomorrow morning. I have decided that I am going to try to follow the Mediterranean diet as that is supposed to be heart healthy. Would love to hear from some others who follow a heart healthy diet and what you are doing.

I love the Mediterranean WOE!! Honestly, when I joined here, it was food wars, who is right, who is wrong. But I saw so many wonderful results from everyone. I was flustered at first! I took a step back and decided everyone’s right. So, I have been doing what I want, without the stress.

As badly as I want to start the Mediterranean and DASH diet, I have yet to start. I have bought a couple of cookbooks but I have gotten so I hate to cook so badly, I don't know what to do. I need to make a grocery list as I have hardly anything in the way of pantry items, spices, etc. that I need. Have been thinking about joining one of those meal plans like Freshly or something where I can eat healthy but not cook at least some of the time.
