Today is DAY 60 ! of Insanity workout... tomorrow is the Fit Test, and that's it. For now. :) I can't believe I've made it all the way thru (well, haven't done today's workout yet...). The last two workouts I almost enjoyed, too. Today's - not so much, I'm sure. It't the super long one, well, two workouts, actually. The Max Cardio Conditioning AND the Cardio Abs workout.. So that's probably an hour and 20 or an hour and 30... a big one.

I've got that damn red "Weigh in now!" thing up there at the top. I HATE seeing that thing. I may as well record. I REALLY thought I'd be below 130 by NOW... nope, still ABOVE! 131.6. SO not fair, I really should be around 124 or so, going by the calories expended. Sucks. And no, dear, sweet friends, it's not all muscle weight since it's NOT physically possible to add THAT much muscle weight over a month's time... that'd be difficult to add 7 1/2 lbs of MUSCLE over a few months! I will concede that it's POSSIBLE that due to the strenuous workouts, my muscles are still hanging on to extra fluids. And no, my measurements don't really reflect much change over this last month. But I think I mentioned before, it's more a an overall toning going on, since clothes that I wouldn't have been able to get into before fit now.

Oh, speaking of clothes, I had THE most amazing thrift store shopping experience of my life yesterday! I ended up spending just over a hundred bucks, but holy cow! What a bounty of awesomeness I acquired! I picked up two blouses, a leather vest, a Coach purse, a pair of workout pants, a picnic basket, two rings, a couple candle holders and best of all - SEVEN pairs of jeans!! SEVEN. And five of them fit well, the other two MAY fit by the time I get to my goal weight. I'm so excited since I've outgrown (? terminology?) most of my old jeans now...

So, between the workout in the morning, then the thrift store, followed by Costco shopping, and all the lifting and hauling that entails, then dinner, etc. I just checked my bodybugg and I burned 3,007 calories yesteday! Woo-hoo! okay... so WHY is it NOT reflected on the scale?? Multiplicity suggested maybe I wasn't eating enough.. but really? I wonder if I'm eating TOO much, regardless of what I burn. I think I'm averaging 1452 calories a day this month and average burn of 2674 a day. Hmmm... let's do the math... I should be down almost 9 1/2 lbs this month so far. NOT. Down ONE and ONE HALF pounds... Nothing like working for 8 lbs and NOT getting them! Even if I've screwed up underestimating calories, MINIMUM I should be down 5, right? Oh well... NOT gonna focus on THAT today. Have to eat, workout, shower, doctor appointment and then hopefully, have a drink with my hubby! Hope everyone has a great day today!

Hmmm, that is weird, you are burning more than you are taking in and not dropping hardly at all. Me, I found those calories you lost and I'm saving them for myself ~ LOL ~ Heck, you can have them back ~ KIDDING!!! Thanks for stopping by, visit with doc went well, just need to change the meds I take for my bones. The cancer meds weaken them and I need to fix that issue real quick. Oh, what is your opinion on the Body Bugg? Do you like it and do you think its accurate? Let me know. Enjoy the day...

Hi NN... glad to hear your doc appointment went well. That sucks the meds are so hard on your bones, but fortunately there are a couple of really good drugs out there for bone health now. Yes, it's weird to have THAT kind of a deficit and almost NO weight loss to show for it. Hard to explain and convince people I'm not cheating! I actually DO weigh most things and track everything that goes in my mouth. Even if I was off some every day, it wouldn't account for this. It has to be thyroid and maybe my body is doing like that other woman I talked about the entry before.... metabolism going at 45% of what it should be. Something's going on...just don't know what. There's a reason why practically the only exclusion to being a Biggest Loser contestant is if you have a thyroid condition... now I REALLY understand that! Personally, I love the Bodybugg! Is it accurate? Well, apparently not in MY case. But in general? Supposedly very accurate, it uses something like six different parameters to figure out what you're burning. But even in my case, when the math doesn't work, it's a great motivator. You can set daily goals, like so many steps per day, a calorie burn you want to reach every day, and how many hours of mod. activity you want to achieve every day. I have the "digital display", too, basically the watch. I really rely on that part of it, although it's not necessary. You can simply upload your armband to find out how many calories you've burned, etc., but I'm more of an "immediate gratification" kind of person! I want to know that when I stand rather than sit, I burn x amount of calories more, or if I have 250 more steps to take to reach my daily goal, I'll be more inclined to get off the sofa and take care of things. So yes, I really do like it and my feeling is that it is generally very accurate...unless you have a metabolism/thyroid issue. And thanks, I hope you enjoy your day, too!

RWL, take all your "evidence" to the Dr today and if she won't listen, use your GUNS!!! They are evidently getting to be quite something, since they are scaring K!! She is one tough cookie, and you've managed to have her quaking in her tennies with those things! And congrats on finishing your Insanity workouts. Be sure to blow Shaun T a kiss for me when you are done, and tell him I am sorry that we will NEVER meet! lol I am fine with Debbie, but then I am a cream puff!! lol Sounds like you ahd an awesome shopping trip yesterday, and found quite the bargains! A Coach handbag? 7 pairs of jeans? w00t! Have a great day and good luck at the Doctor!! Remember to pack your "guns"! lol

Wow what a great shopping trip!!! I still need to go see if I fit into size 16's now. Congratulations on finishing the Insanity workouts. That is such an incredible accomplishment!!! Hope your doctor is a good listener like mine is...The doctor called yesterday to tell me the bone scan showed I did actually have a stress fracture in my foot and she wanted me to stay off it until it healed. Too bad she didn't give me those crutches the first two weeks I was injured...

That's the weirdest thing that - despite the enormous discrepancy between input and output - your loss is minimal. Hope your doc will listen to you. ________ Your shopping trip sounds amazing! I finally started the emergency kit, and had to empty out one of my big bins of fabric. I am determined to stitch up something from each piece of fabric before I buy anything new... I'll be the one in rags!
