Crazy day... So I live in Kansas, that should explain a lot about the kind of crazy my day was... I cannot remember the last time I heard tornado sirens sounding in September. The clouds were absolutely terrifying and beautiful at the same time. Kinda like church as a kid...the picture I always had in my mind of God. He was big and scary and could send me to hell but loved me too much to do it and that made him beautiful. I will never love anything so much as I love Kansas and the energy of a storm on the plains. The sound of the trees thrashing wildly in the wind with the lightning flashing like a disco ball and the thunder keeping beat. It was like all of nature was having a wild party and I got to watch. And then, because what had happened wasn't enough apparently, the sky to the west after the storm was the most brilliant shade of orange and fire red and scarlet. The sunset was so clear and bright against the dark fierce blue gray of the storm clouds that had passed. It was like a dagger piercing to my soul, opening me up so I could drink it all in. So beautiful. God is truly amazing!
Wow is all I could say...I think sometimes God sends the storms so we can see how truly amazing life and all that surrounds it really is.
