Well, here I am being honest with myself for the first time in...well, forever. I am overweight, obese, fat. Whatever you want to call it. But It's ok because I am taking control now. I am facing the demons that make me eat unhealthy things. I am making a change, taking a stand, reclaiming ownership of my body and my health! And I am hopeful, so very hopeful! I love that. I love how empowering it feels to finally accept where I am, where I have been and to know where I am going!
I have always been overweight and I have always blamed it on my heredity. But I know I have nothing to blame but myself. My family is very close and has always centered life around family time together. Those wonderful happy times in my life always include food and lots of it. My mom's motto, "If I love you I will feed you". She loves us all very much(we love her too)! As a result of so much 'love' most of my family is overweight. Both of my parents suffer from heart problems, but my daddy is worse off than mamma. He has Coronary Artery Disease and is in congestive heart failure. He operates on about 20% heart function due to seven heart attacks, two open heart surgeries, and diabetic complications. I don't want to go there. I love him so very much and he is my inspiration in everything. I joke that some people say, 'what would Jesus do', but I ask "what would daddy do". Well if Daddy had it to do over again, he would take better care of his body. He would recognize the risks passed down to him genetically and he would fight. So here I go, I'm gonna fight like the fighter I am! I'm gonna fight for my life, fight to be the mother my kids deserve, the wife my husband needs, and the champion my job requires!

Goal #1- 272lbs. Met 091210... scratch that. Baby #4 gained it ALL back. In progress again. This time the goal is 270lbs
Goal #2- 240lbs
Goal #3- 220lbs
Goal #4- 200lbs
