Ok, the weekend was good, but I was lousy at eating. So lousy that I'm not going to even try to record the calories, but instead start fresh today. Friday we went out for lunch for a baby shower. We went for Thai and not our usual place. The cashew chicken was fatty and oily and the rice was so mushy we didn't even try eating it. And because we went out for lunch we didn't get to go for a run either. Then Friday night we went to my friends to celebrate their daughter's 6th birthday. The kids ran around and the adults tied one on!! I had 3 glasses of wine which was 3 too many for me!! Plus we had a steak dinner and delicious cupcakes!! Saturday was better for eating until a night when we had pizza and wings. Sunday was okay too until supper time and then I had leftover pizza and got into the Doritos. Sigh...

THis morning the scale was telling me that all the junk food caught up to me and I'm up but hopefully by Friday's weigh in all will be better again and I'll at least be back down to where I was this past Friday!

Went to the viewing of this small farm on Saturday. Disappointing! Too many things that need fixing that will cost too much plus the asking price was too high. THe land has been left vacant to long and would need a lot of man hours to clean up plus it sits low so a lot of fill would need to be brought in. The barn is falling in and the list goes on. We'll just have to keep looking. Someday I will find a small hobby farm that is right for us!

I still need to get out and get new running shoes. Anyone have a good recommendation of shoes these days to buy? I've tried Saucony and Asics. I've also had New Balance in the past as well.

Have a good week and here's to making better choices and working out!

Sorry the farm didn't work out! The perfect one will come along! My weekend eating was similar to yours and I'm not going to try to record it either! My scale was not kind this morning, but I have a big salad planned for lunch and hope some clean eating this week will get it back in the right direction. Last summer I did a ton of walking and jogging and got Sketchers Sports sneakers, they are lightweight and so so comfy. My MIL likes Asics and I've had New Balance in the past, but these Sketchers are my favorite.

Looks like we all did bad this weekend. I didn't even weigh this morning - I knew better - too depressing. I am on my 3rd pair of Brooks. If you can find a running store that can video your gait they can tell you what is best for your foot. It always helps to have a professional - especially when it comes to your knees which is what the shoes are supposed to protect.

Boo to the viewing. Sounds like you had a fun weekend otherwise though. As far as shoes I personally am an avid fan of Skechers. They always fit perfectly to my foot. Also mine last FOREVER!
