Alright, I tried. I really did! I feel like I ate like a pig today...and yet I still did not eat my minimum calories. What gives!? Maybe I shouldnt worry about it but I do. I want to be able to maintain my weight loss and eat enough to not put my body into starvation mode but I don't really see the point in eating if I'm not actually hungry. So what do I do? I cannot see myself eating junk to get more calories nor can I see myself eating more than I already do during the day. I even went to my favorite restaurant for lunch with my hubby today. AND I ate what I wanted... suggestions? Anyone?

Hey! I wish I had a similar dilemna - I just barely feel satisfied and I eat all my calories and then some. I think you are doing great, and I think you are overthinking this calorie thing. If you aren't hungry, then don't eat, that's just a simple guideline to go by. As long as you are eating nutritionally healthy foods like fruits and vegetables and whole grains and lean meats, instead of eating like 2 candy bars and you're done, I don't really see a problem. I think that "starvation mode" is kind of a myth. I think a lot of people are uncomfortable with someone that can eat a low calorie diet, and to make themselves feel more comfortable, like feeling as if THEY'RE doing enough, they say things like "your body will go into starvation mode." I don't really buy it. You'd have to be eating like 600 calories a day for your body to think it's starving. I'd love to be eating 1000 calories a day but I just can't push myself to go below about 1300 right now. I have the opposite problem - I use all my calories and then I'm still hungry. But particularly at night. Anyway, I digress. I think you are worrying yourself over a moot point.

Thanks Dollie, It's just that I hear just about every day that I am not eating enough. Well I hear that from my good friend and from my husband I hear "do you really need to eat that". Just sucks because I want to do the right thing for my body. I don't want to screw this up... Typically I do go by the whole am I hungry thing but I just catch a lot of flack about how I am gonna crash and burn and gain all my weight back if I don't eat more food. I'm just trying to be healthy. So maybe I will just worry less about it as long as I'm not hungry...=)
