Whew. Just finished Plyometric Cardio Circuit from Insanity. 41 min., burned close to 330 calories. This was Day 5. Somehow I screwed up the workout calendar already, yesterday was supposed to be Pure Cardio and I did Cardio Abs! Oh well. So I'm going to do the Pure Cardio tomorrow when it's supposed to be a day of rest. Which is okay, since I don't really want to take a day off working out when I feel like working out. Want to save that for those days when I really don't feel like working out or if I have something I need to do and don't get to it.

I like doing the Insanity workout - it's tough, I can't do it all, I have to stop to catch my breath or let my chest stop pounding, but I feel like I've really worked out hard when I'm done. Think I'll still do another workout in a bit, probably the slim in 6.

Okay, did the slim in 6 workout, too. About a 215 calorie burn. Today was day...three of Ramp it Up. Still tough in parts of it, so I'll stick with this for a week or two before moving on.

I like your plan (to save rest days for when you don't feel like working out). Isn't it weird how some days everything is so easy, and others it's an effort to even put the DVD in the machine? Well, maybe not for you, you fit-thing, but for the rest of us... ______________ and just LOOK at your weight graph! LOVE the downward slope!

Excellent job as usual. I was wondering whether after doing those DVDs, does the routine eventually become "yours," or are you glued to the DVDs forever? Today, among other things, I did 72 pushups (so far) with the Perfect Pushup handles. This surprises me because I never liked pushups at all. Needless to say, the handles are starting to grow on me and are giving the one thing I had hoped to get from them: pushups. I hope that you have had a good day.

Hi Ruby! You're so right about some days things are just easy to do, easy to get started, easy to get into some kind of zone, then it's over before you know it (well...slight exaggeration on that last one!). Wouldn't say I'm "fit", but damn....think I'm actually getting there! :) (I kinda like my slope, too :) I've got to go check your journal and see what's up. I'm guessing you're NOT sick, which is great! -------------Hi Info! Well, I like to use the DVDs so I stay on track - both just doing it, and for keeping up the pace and the intensity. I don't know that I'd consider myself glued to them so much as a useful tool. And truthfully, I have so many workout DVDs now that I doubt I could know all the different sorts of routines. Great for the body to mix things up supposedly - keeps the muscles guessing or some such thing :). AWESOME job on the pushups! Holy cow...that is a lot of pushups! I still haven't tried doing them with the handles, but I ought to. I think it's cool that you're starting to LIKE doing them, that speaks volumes for the handles. I've had a really good day so far, thanks! Hope you have, as well.

Wow you work maniac!!! :) more power to you!!! I gotta ask.....being "new" buddies.... :). .....is this a TYPICAL work out routine for you, and how about calories do you normal burn???? I'm seeing about 500 TODAY?!?!? My estimation....that's about one and a half Little Debbies??? JK....man I don't miss her!!! I am kinda new to the working out....joined a gym a couple months ago, and to my surprise ( and many other peoples) I love it!!! Now I spend about an hour there, and usually burn about 300. I'm thinking maybe DVDs MAY hold some value. I have never tried them. I personally like the gym....for whatever reason. BUT I am always open to hearing what works for others . And thanks for words of encouragement on my journal!!! :). I like your sense of humor!!!! :) I cannot wait for the day to be rid of all double digit clothes.....I don't WHEN that will be.....but IT WILL BE!!! If I have to be buried in a size 8 I'm gonna do it!!! I found in my closet I have jeans (levi's) in misses and juniors...sizes 10-11-12-13-14. Ha ha. Recently wore the tens.....okay their stretch jeans....BUT they weren't TOO bad! :D Totally agree.....NO clothes, or at least expensive clothes till I reach my end!!! And man oh man is THAT gonna be a shopping trip!!!! :) By the way your "saddle bag" comment.....lol. What's the saying "outta the mouths of babes?". My sweet NECK comment came from my babe....of 22 years old!!!! Lol Have a great night!!! Love to hear more about the DVDs!!!!! :)

Hi Klannoye! I don't know about "typical", but I have been steadily ramping things up since I started. I'm trying to make 500 calories my minimum burn, at least until I reach goal weight. I like food! (well, and wine :) So I have to work out to burn calories if I want to lose more than half a pound a week or so. Lucky for me I have the bodybugg, so I can track actual burn easier than just relying on FS's estimations. Which actually are pretty good, for the most part, I think. Love the Little Debbie comment! LOL... Anyway, I'm new to working out, too. Started Dec. 29th after spending most of my time on the sofa. I realized I wasn't moving my body hardly at all through the course of a day and no wonder I was fat. It's taken me a LONG time to like it, to look forward to it (and when I grow up I wanna be able to say I LOVE it!) I love my DVDs, but as I said, I like to work out, sweat and swear in the privacy of my own home. I also mentioned to Information (above) that vanity plays no small role in that decision! You're very kind - if you want a really funny buddy, you ought to check out Ruby Jewell's profile. She's a good buddy and a HOOT! She never ceases to put a huge smile on my face or make me crack up reading her stuff. Awesome on wearing the size 10 jeans! I think ALL jeans should have a bit of stretch, anyway! Confession time...I actually do have and wear a pair of jeans that are a size 10. They're my Lucky's in the "peanut cut" - which I think translates into you better have a small enough (enough being the key word) butt for them, otherwise the world sees your crack! Oh, my little angel with the saddlebag comment - gonna be 20 this month! No excuses :) It'll be good getting to know you! Sounds like we have much in common (good AND bad!)
