I was suddenly really cranky last night - out of the blue. Don't think anything set it off, just felt all pissy and bitchy so I told my husband I was going to bed because of the way I felt. He noticed :) Oh well. And it took a while to get comfortable enough to sleep and slept until about 3:00am. Woke up all hot flashin' and threw off the thin sheet. Then got cold 5 min. later, covered up, couldn't get comfy again and on and on it went. I also seem to notice since losing weight (with 16lbs + to go)that the insides of my knees get sore when laying down. I must be used to the fat cushion I've had there for years! And then once I notice the inside of my knees are kind of achy, and it's too damn hot to want to put a pillow between my knees, then I realize my hip bones don't have much fat covering them lying there, either! Yeah, what a "terrible" problem to be having - LOL - but it's definitely a different feeling. Hip bones, pelvic bones, knee bones, shoulder bones - I guess it gives you pressure points or something. Too bad when I stand you can't see these very same bones! Well, some of them, anyway :) Anyway, not a great night's sleep for sure. But it's a new day and I'm gearing up to go work out. Ordered two more DVD's yesterday, two of the Crunch series. Both had good ratings on Amazon, so hopefully they'll be good. The Firm is hard for me to follow and I'm not too coordinated :). And I really do need to mix it up. Still love starting with the cardio max one, though, since it seems to help me burn a lot more calories on whatever other routine I do after those two.

It's friggin' HOT here. I'm SO sick of AZ summers. Really. It makes it unbearable to go shopping, or out anywhere, and even the pool is hot. Can't enjoy outdoors regardless of the time of day or night, and parking your car is hell. I got in my car the other day and the temperature read 130 degrees! It wasn't, it was about 115, but being parked in the sun....can you imagine how hot the interior was?! It really speaks about a climate when you would rather stand in 115 degree sun than get in the car for a few minutes, waiting for the a/c to kick in and hopefully blow out some of that super-heated air. Yuck. I SO want to move...

Must be the heat. I was really bitchy last night too. Was REALLY close to wacking dh upside the head w/ a frying pan (again). It was 90 something here yesterday w/ a heat index of over 100 (bad humidity). Hope today is much better for you. By the way, good job on the losses - you are almost there.

Hey, thanks! And a big smile to you! Not for sharing unbearable heat, but for sharing how you nearly clocked your hubby upside the head! :) It'd really hurt here if I did that - I'm a cast iron junkie! Yeah, heat. Ugh...I think humidity makes it so much worse, but when it's 115, it's still 115!

That's a strange problem with the knees, I don't think I've heard that one mentioned before. It occurred to me that it could be exercise related but I'm sure that you have considered that. That Arizona heat is something that I have experienced and it's the closest thing to being in an oven that I know. :-) The flip side is that the other seasons are great. I remember reading that Frank Lloyd Wright used to spend winters in Arizona and summers in Wisconsin. I thought that that was very smart, if one can pull it off of course. Have a great weekend redwinelover!
