Walked 8.5 miles on Friday. Would have walked 10, but it started pouring rain while I was in the restaurant with friends, so got a ride home.

What I learned from the 8.5 mile walk is that yes, I'm doing a good job with walking, but I'm a LOOOONNNGGG way from being able to walk 20 miles, much less 20 miles 3 days in a row. (www.komen3day.com)

Luckilly, I have 3.5 months, and I'm on track with my training.
I have another month and a half on night-shift, so still struggling to get the walking in. It will be easier once I transition back to days.

Wow 8.5 miles that's a pretty good walk, good for you. I like walking too my favorite exercise, I got plenty in this weekend keeping up to my grandson. :)

LOL BCLenny..I hate exercise of any kind, especially walking. BUT...what I did is signed up for a walk that required training..hence upping my mileage every week. Exercise doesn't motivate me...but the charity walk does..so all to the good.
