As of yesterday, I'm the same mfing weight as 8 days ago. I'm giving this calorie level 6 more days to make some kind of progress. I don't know how I'm not losing a little weight. 6'4" 299lbs and 2750 calories per day. I should be below my maintenance level. Lifting 3 days a week, usually 10k steps or more. Maybe try cutting the calories lower on the days you don't lift.

Maybe you’re not tracking intake as accurately as you may think?

do you weigh daily?? and the average never drops?? I know I hold water and if you are taking Creatine you will have extra water in your muscles. I vaguely remember you talking about this or at least I think it was you. Gains in muscle also make a difference, maybe between the two that is where the weight truly lies. I do lose body fat with my calorie deficit

Sounds like your doing everything right. I think you’ve turned some of that fat into lean muscle...and muscles weigh more than fat. Just give it a little more time and I think the results will blow you away! Good luck!

Been there. Totally understand. You will figure it out :) Take a look at my journal I just posted today. I analyzed 46 days of losses and gains and it turns out that while my Tanita scale says 2000 calories, my maintenance calories are actually 1200! Run your own numbers :)

Yes, I weigh almost daily just don't post everyday. The creatine being constant shouldn't add more than a couple pounds, and certainly not hold me back from losing weight. I weigh everything to a T especially last couple months. I have actually been stalled up and down the same 5 lbs for the last 5 months. I was doing keto /low carb for the majority of it. I have been doing 16/8 since February. I was a little lower in calories, maybe 2200 or 2500 some days. I have done low carb / keto for the majority of 5 years. I was almost 350 a back a few years ago and got down to 260. Maybe at the end of the week I'll drop calories a little bit..we'll see. I am one of those peeps that are almost never full. 2200 calories or less I'm pretty much starving myself...

@Cb1006 - Believe me, I hear ya! This is the second time I have done a 'big analysis'. The first time I was able to break myself out of a 30 day plateau while fasting! In that case I had to drop carbs from <20 to below <10. I didn't like that, but that is what the numbers showed and I went on to a 12lbs in 12 day loss.

I'll do some more investigating later today adef.. See what happened when I stopped losing....maybe I'll jump back to low carb. I like carbs but I like the feeling of keto better.

have you been higher carb for the whole 5 months?? Added in certain foods that are totally different from when you did work out and have weight loss?? I would be looking at what is different more than looking at dropping too many calories. I have a problem with a lot of foods and I know this is probably not your problem but I find it effects my metabolism inside and stalls my weight loss. But I would still look at the differences that you have been ingesting in the 5 months of stall. I know you work out a lot and while the garmin may be off a bit either way, I tend to think you are burning plenty. If you don't see anything I would drop the carbs down maybe half and see if that makes any changes. 50 carbs?? cycling your carbs on heavier work out days and lower on non heavy days?? last resort dropping calories.

I have no advice, but do hang in there.

Maybe a simple review of your numbers; inaccuracy is almost always at the core of the issue. Example: at rest on 8/19 you burn 2709 calories for 23 hours, then on 8/22 same number of hours of rest and you burn 3275. Accurate logging leads to greater success. It isn't the carbs but the intake of information. Bad data in, crappy and inaccurate results out. Peace and good luck.

Your body just might be readjusting itself to the new weight. Talk with a nutritionist to see not so much cal intake you need but how much nutrias you need. For example I have make sure that I have 60-80gm of protein while making sure my carb lower than the others part. In other words I have to make sure I have to have some form a protein at every meal. And remember muscle weights more than fat, so you might be gaining muscle mass.

It could be that your muscle gains is offsetting the loss in any fat. How is your body composition? Do your clothes fit looser?

Baskington--i have actually been carb cycling to an extent, usually taking in more on lifting days. I've been playing with carbs and fat for a couple months.. Yes, clothes do fit a little better, but I doubt I'm displacing that much muscle for fat 🤔 I'll look into this deeper, maybe start taking measurements of arms legs hips etc.. I'm an endmorph or "trucker type" build I've been told.. My wrists are almost 9" around..
