Seriously, .2 lbs? Oh well, I suppose a loss is a loss. I should take it and be gracious, hope next week the meter moves a little more. It makes me wonder if I would have gained, and how much, if I hadn't kept up my walking this week. I actually expected a little spike today. The food at the luncheon wasn't quite as healthy as I had hoped. There were the usual steamed veggies and salad, but the main dish was some type of taco casserole...loaded with cheese and looking very calorie laden.

It's grocery day, thank goodness. I have very little on hand to make smoothies, which have become a favorite morning snack. I stopped at a small local market on Wednesday just to get spinach and it cost twice as much as I usually pay. Today I stock up, especially on things I can put in the freezer, like pineapple and mango. I'm realizing I haven't had much fish this week, so picking up salmon pinwheels for dinner at the meat counter at the market...stuffed with feta and spinach. Hoping to keep pretty close to my food plan for the weekend, but have a couple of events to maneuver around.

Still no change. Been almost a week. Need to figure out some way to shake things up. I have a luncheon today, hoping the food will be something light. I don't really know what to do other than just eat for my health, make good choices and stick to the plan...let the weight issue take care of itself, which it should since I know I'm doing the right things. I average about 1500 to 1500 calories per day...and almost every meal is prepared by me from whole foods, I try to stay away from processed.

Making homemade chicken noodle soup in the crockpot for dinner...whole wheat noodles, and a lot of veggies I need to use up from my produce drawer before Saturday's co-op. That and a salad will be my dinner, my breakfast was oatmeal and wild blueberries. Snacks will be fruit and nuts, maybe a yogurt. The only unknown variable is lunch.

Still holding steady at last Friday's weight. Keep thinking it's bound to change soon. I did my walk this morning....I have some pains, but not in my hip so I have been ignoring them for the most part, taking Aleve if it bothers me too much. I suspect that many of the aches and pains I get are at least in part because of the weight I'm carrying and if I can just get it down to a more normal range it will improve.

Been reading up on the health benefits of molasses lately. My co-op was offering organic blackstrap molasses this week and I put an order in for it. I remember hating it when I was a kid, but many of my tastes have changed since then so I'm going to give it a try. Many people seem to make a tea with it, in order to use it as a health supplement. I drink bad coffee without giving it a second thought, I think it's quite possible I could tolerate this "tea", and maybe even use it to cut back on my coffee consumption. Always working on ways to get the most nutritional benefit from the food and drinks I consume.

Still holding steady, no change. With all the walking I did yesterday I expected it to budge today. Oh well, it will move eventually. I just keep at it.

Having some issues in recent days with an old knee injury. Yes, as if my totally messed up hip isn't enough, I messed up a knee back in my younger days and from time to time it flares up. I think the walking has irritated it. I took Aleve last night and this morning and it's actually feeling okay right now. There is a bit of an incline on the trail I walk that I'm blaming...may start doing more of my walks in my neighborhood to avoid the hill for a while.

I am totally back on my eating plan after the social events of Saturday and Sunday...back in the 1500 range yesterday and today. Have been drinking smoothies that seriously up my veggie intake. Trying to clean out the produce drawer before shopping for this week.
