Entered a sprint triathlon, called the walker bay xtreme which is in hermanus.
It is on the 28 April , so have 13 weeks to train for this.
This is the shortest distance race for triathlon, so good to begin with.
600metre swim then 20km cycle then 5 km run.
My goal would be to do a half iron man early next year. This is 1900m swim, 40km cycle and 10km run.
A full iron man is 3.8km swim, 180km cycle and 40km run. Ouch , who knows , but one day.

Good day all
Happy new year, my all your goals be reached in 2019.
Not been on this for awhile, but still been going at it behind the scenes.
Still stopped smoking, been nearly 9 months now.
My last journal entry i was going to start crossfit, I did do a few sessions but decided it was not for me.
The whole climbing mount Kilimanjaro thing also was not really for me, I did do some big hikes, but not really interesting.
3rd's times the charm, then started triathlon training, I have committed to it, but still a beginner, training to do a half iron man towards end of this year or for early next year. Got myself a good coach and training in a group. I do enjoy this. So will keep updating how my weight goes down on this journey. I am still 99kg, but just started training.

Starting Crossfit on Thursday, yay! I am going to push myself to reach my fitness goals to end 2018

Went to gym 5 times past week, 1 hr per session.
I am committing to 6 days a week , 90 mins per session rowing for 2 months.
So that is burning 1000 calories per day rowing only.

Went to gym 6 times this past week, took one rest day. This with much healthier eating has helped me with weight loss, but i know from experience it will level out soon and be more difficult to have such big gains.
