Today was a little rough. At work we had an anniversary/birthday celebration with 2 cakes! Somehow the cube next to me has become the 'food' cube. The cream cheese icing smelled amazing and was torture! I eventually took a tiny swipe at a little icing left on the platter. It totally made the craving go away without eating an entire piece of cake. I didn't need the calories, but it was worth it!
This evening my Husband and I decided to splurge and ordered a local pizza. They have a 'Popeye' pizza that we have gotten before. Its a 14" whole wheat crust pizza with spinach, red onion, mushroom, tomato & provolone. Very delicious. It took me over my daily calorie goal, but not by much.
Another issue I am having is I woke up yesterday with a sore spot on my arm near my elbow. As teh day progressed it became a lump with a red spot on the skin. It feels like a bruise. Today its not as prominent but its still there. A little odd. Hopefully nothing to worry about.
Another area of stress for me is that my parents are getting a divorce. I went looking at furniture with my Mom last night. She is buying a condo and moving out of my childhood home. I am coping with it much better now that I am used to the idea, but it is hard. I am trying not to let the stress of my life knock my healthy lifestyle changes off track.

Made wheat flat bread pizzas for dinner. They were so delicious and satisfied my pizza craving in a much healthier way than ordering my favorite delivery pizza.
This week seems to be moving in slow motion. I am ready for the weekend! I wanted to dance some tonight but after getting home late (had to run to the grocery store) and making dinner, I was beat. I don't know how I can make sure I have enough energy for a workout when I get home. I prefer to do it in the mornings but I have a very hard time getting up early enough.

Lost another 2.2. Not too bad. I need to step up the workouts! I am much more active than I was even a few weeks ago, but its not enough. This weeks goal: to do more workouts!

Good day today. Got a good bit done around the kitchen, some cupboards cleaned out. More need done, but it was a good start. We had a great dinner - the Spicy Black Bean and Sweet Potato soup. YUM!
We also watched Food, Inc tonight. I had been meaning to watch it since it came out. It was definitely an eye opener. I already wanted to eat more local/organic foods. This gave me an even bigger reason to do this.

Rough day today. I had a nice healthy lunch packed and decided to go out with some coworkers. I forgot my phone on my desk so I wasn't able to check any calories. I picked a turkey wrap that seemed healthy, it came with a small salad as the side. It was yummy and I ate the entire thing. As we walked out I was really full and remembered its ok to have leftovers! No need to feel like I have to eat everything on my plate. Especially at restaraunts! Thats part of how I got where I am today.
We got back to work and I immediately pulled up my diet calendar to enter my lunch. I found the wrap was on here which was nice..then I saw the calories! 1008 calories! I was shocked! Still am to be honest. Lesson learned, eat what I brought for lunch or look up the calories BEFORE going so I know what I can get and still be within my calorie goal.
I had a small dinner to help, even though it was too late and I would be over my daily allowance no matter what I got. I made the crockpot ranch chicken which was delicious.
Still haven't been motivated enough to fire up the Kinect and play around. Although I am definitely sitting less when I get home, working in the kitchen, doing things around the house. I have started turning on the radio rather than the t.v. which is helpful.
I am anxious to see where my weight comes in on Sunday. My Husband told me today he has been weighing himself sporadically this week just to see how he is doing. He said it took until today to get back to his weigh in weight from last Sunday. He mentioned we should probably start watching the fat and sodium content and not just the calories. We will probably start that asap as well. It didnt even occur to me.
