Tough week! I was sleep deprived the entire week which did not help. I really need to work on getting to bed at a decent time every night. I am just such a night owl! I did have good intentions all week but I was really into the book I was reading and instead of stopping at 10pm to go to bed I just couldn't put it down and would read until 11pm! If you are a reader, the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning is excellent! :)

Tonight I got home and finished my book while I was waiting for my Husband. We then went to Lowes so he could get a few things and walked around looking at stuff we could do to the house for about an hour. Afterward we wanted to go out to dinner and headed to O'Charleys. I got the grilled salmon with chipotle bbq, rice pilaf & broccoli cheese. So delicious! I was shocked that after about half of it I was full and brought the rest home for another time. This is something I rarely ever did, leftovers. I had to vocally say 'Im getting full, I do not need to finish all of this now'. It felt good. Oh, I did have a tangerine grapefruit margarita as well. It was good, ate the fruit skewer of orange, grapefruit and lime, too.

Hoping this weekend is nice and productive. Have plans to finish going through the kitchen cabinets & drawers and taking things we just dont need/use to New Uses. Maybe I can get a couple bucks for the stuff.

Yesterday was a rough day. It started with horrible weather, ice everywhere! I couldnt get into my car so I didn't make it into work until 11am. While I was waiting for the car to open I booked a trip to Jamaica for my 5th wedding anniversary! We are very excited and it definitely turned the day into a great one!

I got to work and at 2pm they had a last minute meeting. They decided to restructure our division. I have only been with the company for 3 months at this point. They are moving positions around and changing some job functions, letting quite a few people go. Thankfully I still have a job, even if its not what I want to be. I feel my career is taking a step down from where I want to be. Unfortunately no one can really tell who decided and why we were given the new job offers we were. I am very saddened to lose my Manager that was let go along with several co-workers.

I have always turned to food when I am stressed out, part of what got me here. I did still snack when I got home - celery and peanut butter. Much better than my first instinct which was to hit a drive through on the way home. I was surprised how easily I was able to dismiss that option and keep driving. In the past there would have been no thought behind it, just go through and order a big cheeseburger and fries.

I am thankful to still have a job, have something to look forward to with my Husband and to be on this journey with him. All of that and the fact that Food, Inc has really turned me off of fast food was a tremendous help. :)
