I am so disappointed. I was just positive that after nothing but liquids and that horribly nasty-tasting prep for my colonoscopy ~ I got to prep all day Mother's Day! LOL Great timing people! ~ I would weigh less than the 88.4 I weighed last week. . . but instead, when I weighed today I weighed 190.2! I guess I won't do a colonoscopy prep as a weight-loss aid again. LOL Procedure went well Monday and they only found one polyp, which is being biopsied. They said two weeks for results. If it takes the two weeks for results, I would say they (the results)won't be anything urgent. Still, it would be nice if I'd lost at least another pound . . .

My daughter took me to Northwest Trek for an early Mother's Day last weekend, and we took a bus tour to see large animals (bison, elk, mountain goats, etc.) in their natural habitat. Then we did a lot of walking to see smaller forest animals, the gift shop, etc. The only thing I can think of that caused me to lose a little over a pound is the walking. Today I am going to be outside working on my fence; painting boards, screwing them to posts, etc., so hopefully, I will lose a tiny bit more. And the next two day after today, I can only have fluids, because I have a colonoscopy schedules for Monday, so I'm hoping that will cause at least another pound or two loss (although I can think of much more pleasant ways to do it!)

I'm not very good about sticking to any type of diet, so not sure why I lost the little I did. But, I am thankful, whatever the reason! My doctor had me try two weeks with no artificial sweetener and no dairy. It really wasn't all that hard. I just used real sugar, and tried to use less of it, and I cut out the cheese, ice cream, etc. I eat very little ice cream, anyway; I just keep some in the fridge for the times I decide I want some. I also discovered that I like almond milk (except for the fact that it's more expensive) and I think I will try to stick with it. My two weeks are up now, and I have had a little cheese on my sandwiches a couple of times, but still not using artificial sugar, and limiting my dairy products ~ no milk, only occasionally a little sour cream on my potatoes.
