Well, I consumed about 400-500 more calories than necessary if I'm on a 1200-calorie/day diet. Today is a new day. I was sleep-deprived yesterday, and feel like a zombie today. I will hopefully be able to just eat healthy stuff to stoke the engines.
At my job, I passed out info to start a Fitness Challenge on Monday. Many people seem quite enthusiastic. Everyone is assigned to a team. Individuals keep track of their workout minutes, with a 15-minute minimum, and report the minutes to their team captain. The team with the highest workout minutes at the end of May wins. We also added a team weigh-in component. People can contribute their weight to a team number. I figured out a way to make that component anonymous, so I hope people will participate. This whole challenge should be a fun way to get people moving and thinking about a healthier lifestyle.

Well, I kind of "fell of the wagon" Saturday night. We went out with friends and I consumed mega-calories. My husband and I did go for a walk together yesterday, which was nice. I will weigh in on Wednesday. I hope I lose at least a little bit of weight.
The thing about Saturday night: I knew before we met our friends at the restaurant that I only had 350 calories left for my day if I was going to stick to 1200 calories. You can't even walk in the door of this place for 350 calories! So, I knew I was going to go over anyway - I just went way over!
Charting food has really raised my awareness of my mind/food/emotion connection.

Well, I'm a little bummed that I went over on my calories yesterday. I thought I was doing pretty well. I'll have to pay closer attention today.
