25 January 2014

6th/114til goal
My body is sorer than ever and it feels great! I went to the Y yesterday w my daughter. I haven't been to that gym in quite some time. All new equipment except for their rowing machines.
I think about a hypnotist trainer once said. If you gotta lose weight, work on cardio and lose it! Sure, training won't hurt you, but your biggest asset depending on where you are in weight lost land is burn it off! Then deal w sculpting.
I got on the rowing machine and I was doing alright. Steadily watching the calories burn. Then it hit me, only less than 24 months ago I could not do this! I was much heavier, unbalanced, and my cognitive skills were dysfunctional. Back then it was a great achievement just to balance on that dam sliding seat. It was all I could to stay balanced and pull the fake oars and when I did, I started on level 1. Fast forward to being gluten free, shed 60 lbs, I was on that rowing machine w/o a thought. Pulling the oars at level 10! That moment felt pretty nice. Thank you, God.( It took time to build up to that, but great moment)!
I lost another lb, but my policy is I don't own it or post it unless it's been 2 days. So stay tuned.
I did not go to the gym, or tan today. I needed a day to get a handle on housework, and laundry. I swear to God, that's harder than the gym!
Birthday for my husband this Tuesday. We're having a family dinner tomorrow. Homemade GF meatballs. I wont be having the GF pasta. I'll make a nice salad and thinking some fancy asparagus spears wrapped w prosciutto. Since I'm losing, I'll stay on this Atkins/modified until it seems to need a boost.
I'm careful I have plenty of food on hand. Careful today, as I am not working out. It's 6:23 as I write this. I may do some stretching but that's a stretch. lol
OK Still need to learn more about the program but cooked up a storm this afternoon instead.
Oh, I want to mention I ran into one of my favorite gym teachers from high school while at the gym. She and I may work out together. Heck, that will be motivating. She used to work w Olympians. Talking body beautiful warriors!! I'm 55 and she has to be in her 60's. You are as young as you want to be!

To our svelte success!

5th Day
I'm going to start a count down from May 19, my goal date (and my birthday)in addition to the 5th, 6th and so on. This will motivate me to continue and the light at the end of the shopping spree!
Getting the hang of this site, learned where and how to look at notifications. Need to learn how to repeat foods and make recipes. I do repeat a lot. Also need to figure other qualified drinks as I cut out all diet sodas and drinks. I drink plenty of water, but will get bored w just that.
Heading out to the gym w my daughter today. First tan, then gym. Fat Friday, so I'd like to do the grocery run and buy a present for my daughter. ;D
My digestive issues are a bit better regarding pain, but feel clogged up. Making me irritable. I'm tense as I write this. Thinking also, I'm a bit discombobbeled ( can't believe dict can't figure out that word lol) w my routine this morning. Running late.
I am paying the price of doing this gym thing. Although I feel it's a minimum, I am wiped. My body can do so much. Having a demyelination syndrome, I need to accept this and be happy I can do what I can do.
Ok dokey, got to rock.
To our svelte success!

4 day
Great resolve this morning. Plan on drinking my water. Going to the gym this morning. The tanning and gym are right around the corner from one another. My plan is to be back at the house by noon w all goals and errands accomplished. Need the car washed too and that's just up the street from gym so it all works for me. It's 7 degrees. I do not want that to deter me from going out.

Going to do leg strengthening (prepping for knee surgery)and some upper arm reduction. Heredity and my weight makes for big flabby biceps.
My sister and I are in a supportive challenge together. She also wants to lose 25 lbs and or be in a comfy size 8 or 6.

I'm not missing the chips, already liking the healthier eating. Do think about chocolate. I think more how I want to be done on the lose weight mode and be in maintain mode. That's helping a lot.
I have plenty of fresh veggies to support my diet. Quit drinking diet sodas so I'm looking for other things to drink.
My family is very supportive. ;D

Excited to be in the 150's once again. I'm there by a 4oz margin so I got to stay w this for results. I took a 4 view selfie which I'll print and be for my own motivation. Will do another 4 view selfie weekly. (If I don't I may slack).

Here's to our success!
Weigh-in: 159.6 lb lost so far: 2.4 lb still to go: 11.6 lb Diet followed reasonably well
   (4 comments) losing 9.5 lb a week

3rd day
I need to have some back up food ready if in a pinch. Yesterday, hubster and I decided to go the movies spontaneously but I was pretty hungry so I was going to have a few tablespoons of egg salad but it was gone! lol the nerve of my 17 year eating it, yet leaving the empty bowl in the refrig.
So I grabbed an orange. I love oranges but they aren't Atkins so I guess I'll be a close Atkins/modified.
I lost a couple of lbs but am giving it a couple of days before I update the scale. I'm also having some digestive issues. Thought it was from gluten, but may actually be a bout of diverticulitis. So I'll hang in there a few days before I call my doc. (My sis is a NP and I did talk w her).
I figured out how to add food. yay! Still not too savvy w the site, but I sure do like it. I like the support and I'm learning a lot from my fellow losers.
I wore my cocktail dress around the house yesterday. Got a fake tan this morning and managed to hit the gym for a few leg strengthening's. Also had hand therapy this morning. I'm wiped out tired.
Going to drink plenty of water the rest of the day and plan on making tilapia w broccoli/cheese.
Yesterday, I didn't have very many calories. Under 400. I don't plan on doing that too much, just sort of how my day went. OK that's it.
To our success!

21 January 2014

Ok 2nd day of Atkins Induction.
Im having a bit of a learning curve w the diary food entry. My goal is to figure it out today. Many of you have given me some advise and I thank you.;D
I lost .7 lbs. I'll take it. I really think it's from an upset stomach, not to be too graphic. lol I'm celiac and went to my sister's going away party for her daughter 2 nights ago. I chanced ate a few things that were on the fence. Yesterday and predominantly today, I am getting the award for my decisions. I'm being sarcastic for those that don't now me.
Pulled out the oz. gram weight scale. I look forward to not having to figure out everything w a fine tooth comb. I'm a creature of habit, so before long I'll be able to enter most foods easily. That said, I do like change up.
Working on a 1100 cal day, w 20-25 carb grams. plenty of water.
Non food things that help me lose weight: fake tan, eating and drinking out of the best dishes, wearing skin tight clothes or better yet a slinky cocktail dress, (being disgusted actually motivates me), stretching and doing some calisthenics' if I don't get my butt to the gym. I'm in the 15 lb challenge by Mar 17. Bring it!
My biggest accomplishment from yesterday: no chips or chocolate yay! That's huge for me. Best wishes!
