It's finally warm enough to get outside. I've been walking every day and walking to work. I finally lost this week, but I am losing inches, clothes fitting better. I'm tracking every day. It's helping. I am working on beating the blues too, it's been six months since Dad died and I still have a heavy heart and cry at really odd times. I know this is normal, but... And those dreaded taxes... good Lord, they are never ending and giving me a headache, but I am making progress and that makes me feel good.

Been struggling lately with lots of stress and anxiety. Lots of stuff coming at me once. Just need to prioritize and say no. That's hard for me. But I am plugging away! One day at a time!

I am feeling so down in the dumps lately. I think its this winter weather, never seems to end. Makes me want to eat everything in sight. Trying to get it under control. I think lent will help. Drinking lots of water. Giving up mountain dew for lent. I know it is horrible for me and I seem to have become addicted to it, so hoping to break that bad habit during lent and hopefully it'll bring some weight loss too. Nothing so far, but better than gaining!

Last week would have been my Dad's birthday (he passed from Alzheimer's last fall) and it was kind of hard. I cried alot and comforted myself with food.... But it's a new week and my husband is now doing WW on line, which is helpful. I am doing daily little activity challenges with one of my friends which is helping me get back into moving. I walked to work yesterday - was finally above zero so I could. I am soooo ready for spring. Really affecting my mood. Good luck everyone this week. You guys are doing great!

It would be Dad's birthday this Saturday. Surprisingly it isn't making me want to eat everything in sight. I am very sad, but having read something recently that living a healthy lifestyle and keeping your mind and body active helps reduces your risk of getting Alzheimer's. As well as many other diseases and cancers, but Alzheimers scares me more than all the others, so I will do what I can to stay fit. I gained about 15 lbs while Dad was sick and after he died, so I am now trying to get back at it. Did kick boxing this morning, went for a walk Tuesday night. I want to start walking to work - if mother nature would just cooperate! Started doing Blue Apron twice a week, I really like that, worth the money to have fresh food and everything you need to make the meals. Trying some things that I wouldn't normally try and liking it. So I just take one day at a time. Cherish my memories - cry when I need to and kick myself into gear when I need that too. Have a good week everyone!
