I got on the scale today and was horrified. I knew that I had gained quite a bit in the last month, but it was more than I had expected. I will not get on the scale and have it read that high EVER AGAIN! First thing, I'm cutting out is snacking (unless it's celery or carrots!) and second, I'm adding exercise. Starting today, my goal is to at least walk five days a week for at least 20 to 30 minutes. I'd like to try the Couch to 5K program within the next month, too. Here goes EVERYTHING!

Weighed in yesterday. No change at all. So sucky. It makes me lose all of my motivation.

It seems that my hard work is paying off (despite a little loss of inhibitions last night). I'm finally below 170. Next goal: below 160. I haven't been that low since college. I'm working out extra hard at the gym tonight to work off the extra calories from last night, and I'm going to be extra good today. Only half a salad and chicken broth for lunch. Maybe some chili for dinner. I avoided it yesterday, but it smelled sooooo good. I'll have to look it up and see if it's worth it.

I almost don't want to type in my new weight. If I waited until tomorrow, I know it would be under 170. But I was down five pounds since my last dr visit. Why does that number still scream failure to me? I NEEDED it to stop at 169.9. Pleaded at the numbers with my mind. I didn't gain, but I still feel the way that I thought I would feel if I did gain. I need to work harder. Try harder. Count more. Exercise more. Do. This. Faster.
