I ate a huge dinner last night, so I feel like the scale was not representative of my weight. Regardless, I am seeing real changes in my body, so even if this exercise program doesn't really give you 20 pounds of weightloss, I'm still a believer!

I've had diarrhea for three days now and I feel like between that and eating spicy salty korean soup for dinner two days a row has contributed to a "pound of water weight" I will try to drink more fluid and keep a better distance from salty stuff.

I found this fascinating group of calculator tools at http://www.caloriesperhour.com/ I spent a lot of time last night finding out what my calorie deficit would be for me to lose weight in different periods of time. If I want to lose 2 pounds a week my calorie deficit has to be 1000 a day. Just by eating 1600 calories, which I find to be a totally reasonable amount to consume in a day, and sticking to it better I could stand to lose about a pound a week. I could lose my goal weight in about six months. However, adding exercise in would increase it to 700 or 1000 depending on what activity I am doing that day.
Obviously, none of this is a major revelation to the world. I just really appeciated seeing how what I eat or how much I move is related to time. So if I choose to pursue a 700 daily calorie deficit, it would take me 4.5 months to get to my goal weight, while it would only take me 3 months and 5 days with a calorie deficit of 1000. But what really helps me is knowing that if I really stick with things, in two months I might lost 12 pounds at a calorie deficit of 700. 12 pounds would be a huge accomplishment.

I was surprised when I weighed myself today that I was the same weight I was last wednesday when I last weighed myself. I ate two cheat meals and drank twice during the week, which may have contributed to my not losing weight. On the other hand, i have been exercising consistently, so perhaps I could have lost weight but also gained muscle such that I maintained my weight.
Of note: I lost 0.4% body fat since the last time I weighed myself.
