Following advice presented in the book Why We Get Fat, I have lost 8 pounds over the past two weeks and I feel great! I highly recommend this book to anyone who has tried the route of low-fat diets and tons of exercise with little to no weight loss. Written by a science writer and backed with dozens of studies, both recent and historical, it makes a compelling argument that many people's bodies do not process sugars right which leads to fat storage. It's an interesting read and I have been following his advice for the past couple of weeks; the first few days were definitely the hardest as I had to deal with my body still craving carbs. Once I got past the first couple of days, though, I find myself not really even wanting fries, bread, rice, etc. I feel energized and satisfied and am losing weight. I highly recommend you read this book!!
