I have decided to give the gym another shot despite the disappointment that I have been feeling lately. Having been a avid dieter for most of my life I thought that I knew my body pretty well! I knew when I wasn't really trying and wasn't always surprised when I didn't see results. I thought that if I really tried (In this case 'really trying' was going to the gym 4 days a week) that I would see results in no time but boy was I wrong! After a couple of months of surprising myself and actually putting the time in at the gym I really didn't see any change in weight or inches and soon the 4 days became 3 and 3 became every now and then. I think the main thing that is keeping me down is my diet. I've learnt that through persistence I can get this large butt off the couch and to the gym but trying to pry the bread out of these chubby fingers is next to impossible! Going to try my best though and give it another shot. So far I have also gone to the gym twice in the morning this week. It is a definite shock to the system and it may take me awhile to adjust but I think it is a great change. I've also quit my beloved hip hop class in the favour of doing something that is a bit more physically challenging (and to be honest my heart just wasn't really in it anymore). My current goal is to do Aquafit monday nights followed by treadmill and weights. Wednesday night Aquafit again but thursday morning will be weights and treadmill. Friday I am going to try to get back into bosu box again as it is majorly intense and might just be the very thing to help me out. I have this unfortunate habit of getting sick on fridays though. it's as if my body knows what's coming and throws out a defence move XD. If this fails or even really if it doesn't I am going to try going Sunday mornings for some running and weights as well. This gets me back to at least 4 days at the gym again. I might through in another morning at least for the treadmill but with the weather getting increasingly more beautiful I might try to get into an evening jog outside. As for the food thing I am always trying new recipes. Here's to success!
