I love to write. I am feeling very good today. I am doing fantastic on my health style changes. This is the first time I have stuck to this, I am working on my 23rd day. I have had a couple days that where difficult, I told myself that I have made a mistake and tomorrow is a new day. I know I am going to make some mistakes. I have managed to stay away from those foods that are detrimental to my diet. I know that I am going to have weak moments, and have decided that is okay too. I don't want to be to harsh on myself, because I have accepted that I am not perfect. So many times before I would beat myself up for being to restrictive. Now I try not to do that, it was to damaging to me. I am also portion controlling. I have a plate that is divided into 3 sections which also shows me what amount of food should be, so no measuring. Even measuring isn't hard to do, I use the size of my palm for 3 ounces of meat. I have also picked up exercising! I started out riding my stationary bike at 5 minutes a day..now I am up to 20 minutes per day. I try to take off the weekends, but that seems to make Mondays harder. If I don't do that I dance aerobics for 15 minutes. Working both by adding a minute or two. I read somewhere that it is easy to start when you start out small. I know that in order to loose I need to exercise. I just can't diet. I need the exercise to keep me motivated and have energy. I am drinking more water each day adding more to my diet. I try not to think of this as a "Diet" per say, I refer it to being a "Healthier Lifestyle". I also took out some old photos of when I was at a healthier weight and started a album calling it "My Healthier Look". When I feel tempted to overeat or eat something unhealthy or I don't feel like exercising, I pull it out and visualize myself looking somewhat like that again. It helps me put those ideas out quickly. I know if I can do this for one year, I can be at a healthier me, it is just going to take seriousness and commitment to get there. I am tired of being overweight and feeling tired all the time. I want to do this for me. For things that I always wanted to do but couldn't because of weight restrictions...I made a list of some things I am going to do once I hit my healthy weight. Some are:snow boarding, snow tubing, water rafting, floating the river on a inner tube, riding a bike again, etc. etc. I have this list in "My healthier Look" book also! =) I hope my journal is something that may give others ideas. I am here for support too!
