Quiet back half of the week. Had to have a small procedure on my big toe due to an angry toenail so I've not done much walking or cardio but will be starting back tomorrow. Eating has been good, found a decent turkey burger recipe. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Been a few days since my last entry. Have done much better with eating. Bought a monitor and been testing my blood sugar levels twice a day per doctor's recommendation. Once before breakfast and once before dinner. Only have gotten two in before breakfast and I wish they were under 100. Yesterday's was 122 today's was 144. My two pre-dinner checks have been 101 and 132.
Been doing great with eating this week (even though I know there is still room for improvement). Still, need to focus on more exercise and moving around.
Doctor has prescribed metformin, I've picked up the prescription and plan to take my first dose tomorrow night before dinner, as directed by doctor. Want to get a couple more readings off medication before starting.

Down a half pound (likely more, I had winter clothes on as well as my jacket and stuff) when I visited the doctor.
Not a great visit. My A1C and sugar are high and he wants me on Metformin. I knew this was coming and I didn't do anything to avoid it. Picked the prescription up but need to get a testing kit before I start. Not a journey I wanted but this runs in my family. Means a sudden shift in a lot of things. I am determined not to let this get more of an upper hand.
I've got to stay more disciplined. Going in with a positive attitude. Everyone have a great day!
