Hi all,
This past week has been really tough. I have been eating well and working out daily. I only lost one pound, but that is okay with me. I will just have to come up with something to break the plateau. The weight loss is not the reason for the hard week. One of my professors, who was also responsible for the teacher education, died last week. She was a really extraordinary woman. She died from complications of Muscular Dystrophy. It was sudden, and none of the students had the opportunity to say goodbye or thank her for all of the hard work and sacrifice she made for us. When I am upset I generally eat, but not this time. I have started running outside, about two and one-half miles. I am still hula hooping and weight training. My clothes are really getting loose. The school I am interning in is having a competition to encourage the teachers to lose weight. The cost is ten dollars, with the person losoing the most getting the pot at the end of the month. If I win I am going to use the money to buy some pants. There are about 8 teachers in the competition.

Hi all,
I have been extremely busy at school. I wrap up my first rotation this week and move on to fourth grade next week. I reallly enjoyed working with the students and making a difference in their lives. I have become attached to them, some I will miss more than others.lol! I have been doing well with dieting and exercise. I am trying to get ahead on some of my work so I can start going back to the gym. I want to start using heavier weights, and I don't have any at home. I am losing gradually, but I realized I weigh less now than when I had my son almost 16 years ago. Who says you can't lose baby weight. Seriously though I see the changes in my body and my life when I changed priorites and stopped making food the head of my life.

All is going well despite the fact that I have a cold. I am doing a 24 hour detox in hopes of flushing it out of my system. I am going to eat salad and fruit mostly this upcoming week. I have been working out through my cold, and I only missed one day. I am also goingto cook and freeze meals for the rest of the month and the first week of next month.
